When it comes to your Instagram content, there’s a fine line between making your image interesting enough and having too many elements that make it hard for people to read or comprehend on a fast scroll.
What I love the most about adding some subtle texture, whether it’s grainy texture, paper texture or any kind of noise effect to your text or backgrounds in Canva, is that you elevate your design without making it busier.
Unlike many other Canva tricks, this is an easy one that even beginners can use.
So here we go:
How to add that trendy grainy or noise texture to your images on Canva
Here’s the step by step:
Once your design is ready, on the left side menu in your Canva window, go to photos and search for grainy, paper or any other texture you may want. I will go with grainy for our tutorial.
Pick your grainy photo of choice and add the photo to your design
Go to transparency and turn it down to around 5% or even less. You can see what looks good to you.
If your grainy layer disappear when you click out, it’s because it has been attached to the background. If this happens, click the arrow back or command Z and it will show up again.
